About

Artist, Nan Hill
I have worked as a professional artist, muralist and decorative painter in the Tahoe basin for a number of years. In addition to working extensively with homeowners to personalize their homes with art, I have aided contractors and interior designers in bringing unique homes across the finish line (contractors & designers will know what this means). This could entail the touch-up of fine wood paneling, wood graining, plaster finishes, stone surfaces, gold-leafing, painting of cabinets, etc., etc..

With a masters in art history from U.C. Berkeley, I previously taught part time at the college level in the field of art history and art appreciation with an emphasis on contemporary art. I also worked as a special projects coordinator for large private and public sculpture installations in the San Francisco area. The latter required working with national & international artists, engineers, contractors, on-site supervisors, landscapers, museum registrars, curators, city arts project managers, gallery directors and more. In other words, I am used to and enjoy working with countless individuals and tradespeople to complete a project.
